In many verses of the Qur’an, Allah mentions that Muslims—even those with the most fear of Allah—may make mistakes. In one verse, Allah reveals;
Say [from Me]: ‘My servants, you who have transgressed against yourselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Truly Allah forgives all wrong actions. He is the Ever-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.’ ”(Surat az-Zumar; 53)
We surely have done many things that we regret. It puts us under constant guilt and sorrow. I found this verse relieve me from the regret.
But despite of the many consolations in the Qur’an that refresh the spirit and give hope, many human beings do not admit that they make mistakes. In spite of the glad tidings announced in the Qur’an, after making a mistake they become wrapped in despair and become anxious and downhearted.- Harun Yahya
Like I do, I think most of you felt the same way reading the above statement. When we deal with things, we always do mistakes. However, very seldom that we admit that we have done something wrong. For me, the minute that I realise that I have done something wrong, that is when you start to change your reaction towards the things you are dealing with. I have to admit my mistakes first only then I can change my course of action. Recognising our own fault and mistakes are very hard to do, but as soon as you realise them, you will be aware of how wrong they are. Then, your heart will tell your brain to do the right thing. Our relationship with Allah needs to be reassessed from time to time. Fortunately for us that Allah accepts our repentance and give us the opportunities to make mistakes.
Many may not realise this but for me, the reason why Allah forgives us is because we learn the best when we make mistakes. Allah has given us the chance. We always make mistakes and everyone else too. But our reaction will determine how the outcomes will be. How we react to things are the things that will make difference. However, the tipping point is where you realise your mistakes. That's why we have friends.-The Chukai Insider
